Canvas of connection
An experience of presence through art and yoga
February 14, 2026 | Agastya Yoga Goa, india

The Canvas of Connection is a lived experience of presence, where art and yoga meet beyond structure and expectation. This gathering took place in Goa at Agastya Yoga Goa, surrounded by nature, warmth, and a shared intention to slow down and truly arrive. After a full day of yoga practice, breathwork, and quiet time in nature, we came together not to perform or create something perfect, but to be fully present. The body was open, the mind softened, and the heart ready to express without filters.

As the practice shifted from the mat to the canvas, we began painting with our hands. No brushes, no rules, no expectations. Just touch, color, and emotion moving freely. This transition from movement to art allowed emotions to surface naturally. Joy, heaviness, relief, gratitude, and sometimes sadness all found a place to be released. In this space, painting became a continuation of yoga, a true self practice where what no longer belonged in the body was gently thrown out onto the canvas.

Being here, fully present, is at the core of this experience. Happiness was not something to chase, but something that appeared quietly when resistance dropped. Through shared silence, laughter, and creative expression, we were reminded that emotions do not need to be controlled or suppressed. They need space to move. Yoga prepared the body, nature held the group, and art gave emotions a voice. This is where connection happened, not only with others, but with the most honest parts of ourselves.

The Canvas of Connection is part of Designed Yoga, where yoga is approached as an intentional, artful practice designed to support emotional release, awareness, and freedom. These events happen almost every month, either in Germany or in Goa, always shaped by place, people, and presence.
